About eQMO

The quality management office, built into the work

eQMO stands for e Quality Management Office. It gives project teams one governed record for requirements, risks, actions and approvals, so proving the work is no longer a second job.

Company overview

A platform for organisations that have to prove their work

eQMO is a cloud platform for governing projects and programmes. Each organisation sets up its own roles, criteria, stage gates and document templates, and its project teams then deliver against them.

It is made for places where a decision has to be traceable long after it was made.

Built for

  • Large B2B companies
  • Medium-sized businesses
  • Public organisations

Mission and vision

What we are here to do

The two ideas every product decision is checked against.

Our mission

Structure without the admin

Give every project team the structure of a quality management office, without adding a layer of administration on top of the work.

  • Set up once
  • Used every day
  • No parallel registers

Our vision

Every decision, traceable in seconds

Any decision on a project can be traced to the requirement, the risk and the person behind it, the moment someone asks.

  • Criteria linked to risks
  • Risks linked to actions
  • Approvals on record

Why eQMO was created

Governance had become a second job

The work happened in one place and the proof of it was rebuilt in another. eQMO puts both on one record.

  • The problem

    Proof was a separate job

Every audit meant rebuilding the story.

    • Risk registers in spreadsheets
    • Gate approvals by email
    • Requirements in documents
    • Status rebuilt in slides
  • The idea

Make it part of the work

Govern on the record the team already uses.

    • One shared project record
    • Criteria linked to risks and actions
    • ATP raised from the project
    • Documents written in the app
  • The result

Evidence when the work is done

    Nothing to assemble afterwards.

    • Stage documents kept with each gate
    • Alerts for every change
    • Live project and programme dashboards
    • Audits start from the record

Business challenges addressed

The pressures our customers bring to us

Different industries, the same four pressures.

  • Regulatory and audit pressure

Showing who decided what, on which evidence, without weeks of preparation.

  • Growing portfolios

More projects than an office can follow with documents and meetings.

  • Many people, many roles

Business owners, service owners, project managers and team members who each need a different view.

  • Demand for live reporting

Leadership expects current status across the programme, not last month’s pack.

Digital transformation journey

From documents to a governed record

How an organisation moves onto eQMO, in four steps and at its own pace.

  1. Set up the organisation

The admin defines roles, criteria, stage gates and templates once, for everyone.

  2. Bring projects in

Create each project in the wizard: details and team, stage gates and templates, then criteria and risks.

  3. Govern the gates

Raise an ATP at each stage gate, with the stage documents and evidence attached.

  4. Report from live data

Follow one project in Project Overview and all of them in the Programme Dashboard.

Platform philosophy

Governance should be a by-product of doing the work well, not a report written about it afterwards.

  • Enter it once
  • Link everything
  • Do it in the app
  • Evidence as you work
  • The right view for each role
  • Nothing rebuilt for reporting

Leadership message

A word from our leadership

The standards each release is held to, in their own words.

“We measure eQMO by one thing: how little extra effort it takes a team to be able to prove what they did. If governance feels like overhead, we have more work to do.”

Company values

How we work

Four habits we expect of ourselves and build into the product.

  • Traceable

We can always show why a decision was made.

  • Light

We remove steps before we add them.

  • Accountable

Every commitment has a named owner.

  • Improving

We learn from each project we close.

Future roadmap

What we are building next

Indicative only. Priorities are set with our customers.

  1. Now

    Per-seat licensing and billing

Seats, billing cycle and invoices managed by each organisation’s admin.

    • Add or remove seats
    • Billing summary in the admin panel
  2. Next

    Regulated requirement packs

Add specific requirement sets to the generic NFR library.

    • ISO, GDPR and PCI sets
    • Combined with the generic NFRs
  3. Later

    More inside the app

Keep more of the conversation and structure in one place.

    • In-app chat
    • Industry master map
    • Further document templates
